The 10 stages, day by day

  1. Alt à définir
Discovery of this very wild part of the coast. The view is magnificent throughout. The road may be damaged in places - for road bikes, favor the passage through the Col de Marsolinu and its magnificent view of the Calvais region.
  2. Alt à définir
The road takes us towards the rich western coastline of Corsica. At the Col de Palmarella we await one of the most beautiful panoramas of our stay.
  3. Alt à définir
The ascent of the Col de Vergio with the magnificent gorges of Spelunca ! Discovery of the Niolu region with Monte Cintu and Paglia Orba on the horizon.
  4. Alt à définir
The Scala di Santa Regina gorge ! Sublime ! The road is magnificent throughout until Corte, the historic capital of Corsica. Transition day GT20 - GR20 - recovery of bikes and delivery of your hiking backpacks - night in Corte.
  5. Alt à définir
Start in Corte with a train transfer planned to Vizzavona - start of your GR South. You follow an old mule path that takes you to the Palmente pass (1640 m). The eastern coast unfolds at your feet, offering a splendid panorama of the Diana and Urbinu ponds.
  6. Alt à définir
Continuation on the red and white trail for a stage in the forest. Through the Marmano beech forest you reach the Verde pass. The trail rises through the woods, initially using an old forest exploitation track.
  7. Alt à définir
You continue your progress towards the south on an aerial course on the ridges between the Taravu valley and the eastern plain. On the route crossing of Punta Cappella 2041 m. Quite airy passage on the ridge crest crossing fairly steep rocky slopes (but requiring no special equipment).
  8. Alt à définir
You reach the ridge of statues and walk on the ridge edge, between blocks of granite twisted by the wind, with the Tyrrhenian Sea as backdrop. Descent by a variant between the hills where the Bassetta inn is located.
  9. Alt à définir
You cross the Cuscionu Plateau, the highest altitude plateau of the Regional Natural Park. The day continues with a long descent towards Asinao. Via a steep route, you take the alpine variant and walk to cross the famous Bavella Needles. The granite shapes tortured by erosion are spectacular.
  10. Alt à définir
A gentle descent awaits you today; be careful, this last stage is not to be underestimated, the descent is long, with no water points and the heat of the coast may surprise. You progressively cross the vegetation levels before arriving at Bocca d'Usciolu which marks the last descent to the village of Conca, the final point of your journey.
